Yes, that’s right. I’ve been offered a teaching job in Cairo… Yeah, the one in Egypt. And I’ve applied for another job out there – in the hopes of pulling in a bit more cash – at the same place I applied a year ago. Last year I was brutally rebuffed; this year, however, I’ve been asked to set up a phone interview. Now I’m just waiting to hear when this interview will take place, but my friend – she taught at this one last year and will be just minutes away this year – says that I’ll likely get the job. Just the fact that they asked for an interview is good news, according to her.
So I’ll hope for this other job but will still be happy if I don’t get it, as I’ve already got the other job lined up. (But really, I want the job at my friend’s old school.)
